Website redesign and development

The challenge

PMW Dynamics’ previous site listed motor types as a flat set of navigation links, with no real structure behind them.

Customers browsing for a specific motor spec had to hunt across generic category pages, and the one case study PMW had was buried into the homepage rather than given room to do its job. Behind the scenes, updating a product meant going through a developer — not workable for a manufacturer with dozens of motor variants across multiple series.

The approach

We rebuilt the site on WordPress with a proper product architecture: categories, series, and individual pages for every SKU.

Every line item is now editable directly by PMW’s team, with no developer needed to add, update or retire a product. We restructured navigation around how customers actually search — by motor type and series — rather than a flat list, and gave case studies their own dedicated section instead of a single homepage mention. The build was also set up to scale to full e-commerce when PMW are ready for it, without needing another rebuild.

The results

PMW’s team can now manage their entire product catalogue themselves — adding new motor variants, updating specs, or retiring old lines without waiting on external development. Customers can find specific products faster, and the case studies section gives PMW room to properly showcase the range of industries and applications their motors serve, from UAVs to warehouse robotics.

Our old site made it hard for customers to find what they needed, and even harder for us to keep it updated. Break the Grid solved both problems — the new structure means customers get to the right product faster, and our team can edit or add products directly ourselves. It’s made a real difference to how we manage the site day to day.
