Webinar brand identity & Zoom Integration

Brand identity & Zoom platform integration

The challenge

ISLA wanted to launch a member-only webinar series but didn’t want to hand the experience over to a generic third-party webinar tool with someone else’s branding wrapped around it.

They needed the series to live natively on islagroup.org, restricted to verified members only, with the same level of visual control as the rest of their site — while still running on Zoom’s actual video infrastructure behind the scenes.

The approach

We created Speaker Series as a standalone identity — a soundwave mark rendered in a purple-to-teal gradient, paired with a bold/light wordmark — distinct enough to feel like its own thing, while still sitting comfortably alongside ISLA’s core brand. Built for a run of ongoing sessions rather than a single event.

Alongside the identity, we built the entire registration and delivery experience from scratch.

  • A registration flow that checks new sign-ups against ISLA’s existing member list and automatically updates the correct HubSpot list
  • Login verification tied to the registrant’s email address, so only confirmed members can access a session
  • Zoom’s video feed integrated directly into islagroup.org rather than redirecting members off-site
  • A fully custom embed, coded to give ISLA complete control over branding rather than relying on Zoom’s default player skin
  • A bespoke speaker and document panel, CMS-managed, so ISLA’s team can update speaker bios and attach downloadable documents per session without developer involvement
  • A custom Q&A panel with moderator controls, built for the panel format rather than adapted from a generic webinar plugin
A branded sponsor slot within the player itself, giving ISLA a way to sell session sponsorship without breaking the branded experience

The results

ISLA now runs member-only webinars entirely within their own site, under their own brand, with no visible dependency on a third-party platform. Membership verification and HubSpot list management happen automatically rather than manually, ISLA’s team can manage speakers and session materials themselves through the CMS, and the built-in sponsor slot opens a commercial angle the previous setup didn’t have. The system is fully editable rather than tied to Speaker Series specifically, so it can be re-branded and reused for other webinar formats — whether that’s another ongoing series or a one-off standalone session — without a rebuild each time.

Icon of quote marks

This wasn’t a simple brief — we needed member verification, HubSpot integration, Zoom’s infrastructure, and full branding control all working together seamlessly. Break the Grid delivered a platform that does all of that without members ever feeling like they’ve left our site. It’s given us a proper foundation for our webinar Speaker Series going forward.
