ISLA

Ops & Tech Summit rebrand

A narrower name, a bigger remit — and a brand built to match it.

The challenge

ISLA’s annual event had outgrown its old name and identity. What had been the “Post Trade Conference” — with a dark, data-driven visual identity focused narrowly on post-trade — no longer reflected what the event actually covered. Technology in the securities lending space was driving value across the whole trade and product lifecycle, not just post-trade, and ISLA needed a rebrand that signalled that shift clearly, while also working globally rather than reading as a narrow, siloed event.

The approach

We rebuilt the identity from the ground up as the ISLA Annual Ops & Tech Summit, with a new OT26 mark — a bright, gradient wordmark that reads as modern and energetic, a deliberate contrast to the old dark, data-wave look.

Beyond the core identity, we built a complete partner brand pack so sponsors and partners could use the new branding themselves: social media toolkit assets, co-branded lock-ups pairing the new mark with a partner’s own logo, font and usage guidance, email templates for event communications, and the website header banner introducing the new identity on ISLA’s own site.

The results

ISLA launched the rebrand across every channel at once — web, email, social and partner materials — under one consistent identity, with partners able to use their own branded assets from day one rather than waiting on bespoke design work each time. The new Ops & Tech 26 mark gives ISLA a stronger, more current identity to grow the event’s scope with, rather than one tied to its old, narrower remit.

Icon of quote marks

We knew our event had outgrown its old name, but a rebrand like this touches everything — the website, email, social, every partner relationship we have. Break the Grid didn’t just give us a new logo, they gave us a whole toolkit our partners could pick up and use immediately. It meant we launched Ops & Tech 26 everywhere at once, looking consistent from day one, instead of scrambling to catch every channel up.
